A Kraftin' Kimmie Thank You

My Victoria Day weekend is coming to an end.  It was wonderful though!!  A quiet weekend at home with the family - what more could you ask for?!?!?

I took some time to colour up a card too and play along with this week's sketch challenge over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog.

Here is the sketch.....

And here is my take on it.  I used Mona the Seamstress and pulled out my Earth Love 6x6 pad from Cosmo Cricket.  And I used my new Tiny Tags set from Papertrey Ink for the little sentiment tag.  I think I am going to love this set!!

Perk Up!

I am back to show off another Kraftin' Kimmie card.  This was originally going to be the one for this week's one-layer challenge but it just took on a life of its own and no longer fit.  I still like it and thought I would share it here anyway.

It is currently on its way to a friend who I wanted to send a little pick-me-up to.

I decided to pull out the Spring Tea Party kit and used one of the accessory stamps and a coordinating sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you fairy much! (KKSC128)

I decided to play along in this week's challenge over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  The goal is to make a one layer card and can I just say that this is not easy.  You would think one layer would mean quick and easy but nope!!  My first attempt at this challenge took on a life of its own and did not fit the criteria.  (I'll show it later this week!)

Anyway, back to my card for this challenge...

I pulled out Lilybelle and stamped her on some kraft cardstock.  I kept things nice and simple with a wee bit of colouring, paper-piecing on her dress and then some Stickles for a little sparkle!

I dusted off my copics.....

Oh yeah, it has been a while.  My poor copics have been neglected.  Well, I decided to bring them out of retirement this weekend and make a card that I actually had to colour on.

Last weekend was ScrapFest and of course I visited the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps booth.  One of the stamps I picked up was the fabulous Angry Ballerina.  This is an older image and one I have always loved but constantly put off buying since there are always new ones to catch my eye.  Well, now she has been added to my stash and has already seen ink!!  I am a little proud of me!!  :)

Here is the card I made with her following this week's sketch challenge over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge Blog.............

KKSC81 - Fight Like A Girl

Sorry for my lack of blogging this week but after Crop for the Cure last weekend this week just kind of happened.  No time or energy really for anything crafty.  Until tonight, that is!

I have had the idea for this card in my head since I first saw Janelle from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  Not the actual layout or anything - just that I knew I needed to use this image and sentiment together!!  I whipped this up (at the very last minute) for the current KKS Challenge to cut it out.  All of Janelle's outfit is paper-pieced using BG Olivia.

By the way, KKStamps is also having a Facebook contest where they are going to give goodies away at every increment of 100!  So, go 'Like' their page and don't forget to tell them that I sent you!!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you are enjoying a little crafty time this weekend!!

KKSC80 - Thank You Fairy Much

I feel like it has been forever since I have posted here! Mostly, that is because I have not really been getting crafty. I have been busy with work & life and getting ready for Crop for the Cure next weekend. I did however sit down and make a few cards today.

This one I made is for this week's challenge over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge Blog. Carole is challenging you to get stitchy. The catch though is that you need to do it by hand!! That was not such a big deal for me since I do not do the machine stitching thing anyway. I still kept it pretty simple though. I just pulled out some of my The Twinery twine and added a little corner on my image. Speaking of image - this is one of the fabulous fairies from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. Lilybelle is her name and this sentiment also comes with her.

I also used my new felt and button die from Papertrey Ink!  Too much fun!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

And now, my card.  I am always on the hunt for stamps that work well for masculine cards and Astronaut Andy just jumped out at me as perfect!  And then, of course, what better paper for this guy than the To The Moon collection from Fancy Pants Designs.  They were made for each other!!

My card was also created for this week's KKS challenge.....Today's challenge is from the terrifically talented TARA!!! It's a Bingo challenge!! Just take a look at the bingo card below and pick a row, vertically, horizontally or diagonally and include those three items on your card!! FUN!!!

I used the middle vertical row (buttons, ribbon & twine, dry embossing).  The embossing isn't the easiest to see but the bottom yellow portion is embossed with stars.

Thanks for stopping by!!  Enjoy the rest of the hop!!

Happy birthday Tam!!

Today is my oldest sister's birthday so of course I am popping in with some wishes for her!!  She is a pretty fabulous sisterfriend and I am pretty lucky to have her!!

Happy birthday Tam!  Love you!!

Here is a picture of her and my Mom taken today at lunch.....

And here is the card I made for her.  I busted out one of my Kraftin' Kimmie lovelies (Francesca) for this one.  I also made it for this week's KKS Challenge to get stripey!

I just thought I would also share a picture of myself with my Momma and all my sisters.  We went out for lunch at Wildcraft in Waterloo today.  First, let me say that it was an awesome place!  The food was yummy, the service was excellent and they brought us a champagne toast to celebrate the birthdays.  Pretty awesome!!  Second, let me say how much I enjoyed time out with my Mom and the sisters!  It isn't very often we get time just us without many children running around!  I am looking forward to more occasions like this.

Snow Much Fun!

I just wanted to pop in and share my project for this week's challenge over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge Blog.  This week's challenge is hosted by the fabulously talented Michele and is all about the scallops.

I decided to do something different for this one and pulled out some of my accessory stamps and used them on a layout.  All that rubber is good for more than just cards folks!!  I used the snowflake stamp from Antoinette and the sentiment (Snow Much Fun!) from Maxwell Snowboarding.

Thanks for stopping by!

Sending You a Note! - KKSC66

It's Family Day here in Ontario and I have to say that I am enjoying the extra day at home!  We are just hanging out here in this house but I did find a little time to get crafty!!

Here is a card I made for this week's challenge over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  There is a wonderful sketch from Elaine to follow and of course a chance to win some KKS rubber!!!

For my card, I used my Marie Antoinette stamp that had not seen ink yet.  I ordered this awhile ago.  Actually, I ordered the Antoinette stamp and was sent this one by mistake.  Turns out I already had Antoinette anyway so I decided to just keep this one.  I guess some things just work out the way they should.

Have a great day!!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge 56

Today is my last duty as a Guest Designer for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I say that with a lot of sadness. It has been awesome to be a part of the team this month. Not only is it an honour to be chosen as a GDT for anyone but it is especially fabulous when it is a company that you love!! I don't really do the DT thing too much. I like to craft for myself for the most part but that being said, I am very happy to promote companies that I love and KKS is definitely one of those! A great big THANK YOU to Kimmie for giving me a chance this month. You're the best!!
Anyway, onto the business of the day. Today's challenge is Seeing Spots! so let's see your cards with lots of spots and dots. As always if you visit the KKS Challenge Blog and load up your card you will have a chance to win some KKS rubber!!

For my card, I used the adorable Christmas Clara. I just love her! The ornament and sentiment also come with her as well!

Be sure to pop on over to the Challenge blog so you can check out the gorgeous projects from all of the Krafty Girls and Krafty Guests!

Happy Holidays - Kraftin' Kimmie Style!!

It's been a long week here in this house. Maya has been sick since Saturday. Poor girl. We went to the doctor yesterday and it seems she has strep throat. We have started the meds and she is improving slowly. The worst part is the lack of sleep. Man, is it hard to function on a couple of hours only.

Anyway, since I haven't had much crafty time I thought I would share this card that I made a while ago. It features Antoinette from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

I'm also entering this over at Litte Red Wagon since I have used BG Jovial as my pp.

Thanks for peeking! I will be back on Saturday with my KKS Challenge card! My last duty as Guest Designer this month. So sad that I won't be playing along anymore (officially anyway). It's been so fabulous to be part of that incredible team.
