me and my sisters

Just wanted to stop by and share a layout I made quite a while ago.  It features some of my very favourite people though - my sisters!!!

It's a tough one too though.  My family and I spent years working to raise awareness and money for cancer research and while I am proud of that I am also feeling it was all for naught.  You see, cancer has taken up residence in my family and is winning the battle.  It's incredibly hard and frustrating and very overwhelming right now.  So, that is why I have not been around here too much.  I'm spending pretty much all of my free time with my family.  It's where I always want to be but it's also where I need to be right now.  So, anyone out there still reading this - send your thoughts, prayers, whatever you do to whoever you send it to.  My family could use it.

Supplies:
Pink Paislee - Cupid collection
Papertrey Ink - Die (Bloom Builders #3)

A Sketch Challenge - new pj's

A quick post from me. It has been a long weekend and I am exhausted. We spent more hours than I care to count in the hospital with my wee girl. We are home now thankfully and she is showing some signs of improvement so I am hopeful that in a couple of days she will be good as new!!

This week's challenge over at Turtle Soup is from Anne Marie. She asked to pick one of Allison Cope's fabulous sketches from over at So Sketchy and make a layout.

You can see the sketch I chose HERE.

And here is my layout based on it....

Layout created using Pink Paislee's Spring Fling collection

The left side is based on the sketch but I expanded it out into a 2-pager. Love these pics of my girl in her new Christmas jammies!!

My turtle-y girl

Here is a layout I did a while ago for a layout tag over at Scrapping Turtle. I realized I had not shared it yet so here it is.....

Hope everyone is staying safe out there. We got our first snow of the season last night. It doesn't look too bad though. I am tucked safe and warm at home today though. My baby girl is not feeling well. :(

There is a fun contest going on over on the Scrapping Turtle Facebook page. Become a fan and check it out!

Another Mystery Challenge

So, I think I have mentioned before about the super fabulous Mystery Kits Scrapping Turtle puts out each month. I love these things!! This month's of course was no exception.

Just about everything on this layout was included in the Mystery Kit with the exception of the cardstock and the chipboard "girl".

Mystery Kit Fun!!

Every month the Scrapping Turtle puts out Monthly Mystery Kits. I love these things! I have been picking them up every single month for almost 2 years and have yet to be disappointed! You get almost everything you need to complete a layout - you just add your cardstock! This month's kit was no exception! I loved it and finally sat down last night to put it together. Everything you see on this layout came in the kit and I still have enough product left to make another layout or a couple of cards!! Can't beat that - all for $8.95!! I love 'em!!

I especially love that everyone's layout always looks so different. If you want to see what everyone else did with the kit check them out in the gallery here.

Here's my page with a picture of my beautiful niece Rielly...
