I was home today for a doctor's appointment and found a wee bit of time to sit at my table and play.  I decided to use this sketch from Sketches In Thyme (#224)

And here is my take using some older pictures of my girl and some super old My Mind's Eye.  I just love when I use up something that has been in my stash for a long time!!

Life is Good when I'm with you

Well...we survived!  The first week back to work and we made it through.  Tired but we did it!

Popping in to share a recent layout with one of my absolute favourite pictures ever of the five girls with my Momma during a trip to Stratford we took two summers ago.  These girls LOVE their Grandma and they were just about everything to her.  I am so incredibly thankful for the memories and all the pictures to treasure!

Have a very happy birthday!

Today is my baby sister's birthday and I can't let the day end without dedicating a post to her.  She is a pretty amazing sister and a pretty incredible woman!  She's had a very eventful year - some good (getting married) and some bad (losing our Mom and her own battle with cancer) but through it all she has been so strong and I couldn't be more proud of her!!

Happy birthday Scoots!!  Love you too much!!

Remember - Sketchy Tuesday

It's time for Sketchy Tuesday with Scrapping Turtle.  Check it out over on their Facebook page.

I have to be honest - at first glance of this sketch, my first thought was "NO WAY".  The circles were freaking me out a little - such a pain to cut at times.  Anyway, I decided to dive in anyway and 'interpret' it a little differently and I actually quite like how it turned out.

Just goes to show - even the most daunting of sketches can be workable if you just make them your own!!
