Happy New Year!

I have to be honest and say that I am really struggling with getting excited for this New Year.  The idea of a whole brand new year filled with moments and memories without my Mom is overwhelming.  It makes me so very sad.

But, move forward we must, right?!?!  It is important to look ahead.  I need to keep reminding myself that it doesn't mean forgetting or letting her go.  But, I am incredibly lucky to have so many amazing people in my life that I know 2015 is sure to be filled with incredible moments with them.  Bittersweet moments for sure but I am trying to learn to smile through the pain and look ahead to good times.

So, in that vein, I am first going to take a look back at the last year.  I know that the moment that stays with me the most is the one where I lost my Mom forever but truthfully before that it was a pretty great year filled with lots of wonderful memories!!

So, here it is.  Feel free to stay and share the walk down memory lane with me.

Every single one of these moments and so many more happened because these two people fell in love and built a life together.  I am thankful always.  My parents = awesome!  Love you both always!!

And so many birthdays and other little moments were celebrated and spent together.

And, now it is time to look ahead to a brand new year and try not to be sad but to be hopeful for just as many awesome moments.
