So, Peel has called a snow day for today and although I live in Halton this impacts me because that is the school board that I work for. Snow days are great but here are a few reasons why this one is ill-timed.
First and foremost, I already had the day off today to take Maya to a doctor's appointment so I don't even get to take advantage of it. That is just not fair. Now let me clarify though - a snow day is not a day off for me, we still have to go in. It's just a quiet day since only a few of the students make it.
Second, there is no snow on the ground or falling out there (which is a good thing by the way)!! Apparently it is very cold and icy out there but I haven't actually been out yet to experience that.
Okay, I guess those are the only reasons. Oh well, I guess I would much rather be at home with Maya anyway!!!
For all of you out there who have a day off from school or work today due to weather - ENJOY!! And for those of you who do not have the day off - TRAVEL SAFE & STAY WARM!!
