Yesterday was my mother-in-law's birthday so of course I made a card for her.  I thought the perfect image would be Maya Blowing Bubbles from Whimsy Stamps.  Nothing Marjorie loves more than her sweet granddaughter!!

This digi stamp of my baby girl was drawn by the superbly talented Crissy Armstrong and I feel so blessed to have this!

Happy birthday Rissa Roo!!

Photo taken by Amanda Stratton (better known as Mommy to Rissa)

Today is my niece Marissa's 4th birthday and I am dedicating this post to wishing her an awesome day! Love this girl! She is super sweet and absolutely adorable!!

Together Maya & Marissa are the M&Ms and are cousins and the best of friends!! That was why I was absolutely thrilled when the superbly talented Crissy Armstrong immortalized them in rubber! That image of course was the perfect one to use for Rissa's birthday card!!

Happy birthday Rissa Roo!! We love you so much!!

Stamp used: Maya & Marissa from Whimsy Stamps

Today is also Theme Thursday over at Turtle Soup as part of the Card-A-Day goings on! This week's theme is celebrations (birthday, anniversary, new baby, new job and so on)

Happy Father's Day!

Father's Day is the day we take the time to tell the Dads in our life how awesome they are. Personally, I think it is important to share that more than just once a year. My Dad is awesome and I love him so much. I hope he knows how important he is to me each and every day!!

Then, there is my husband. Watching him be a father to our baby girl is one of my greatest joys! Seeing the two of them play and be silly together brings me more happiness than I can express. Pat is an incredible father and Maya is very lucky to have him!!

Maya was busy at 'school' making a present for Daddy. She created this message board (one side is dry erase and the other is corkboard). It will soon find its place on the wall above Daddy's computer. Then, she set to work using my stamps and created this card for him.

The first message was written by me obviously but it was word for word what hse told me to write. Apparently she felt the bottom front of her card was a little crowded. The girl is just too cute!

And below is the card I made for him using an incredible digital stamp (Daddy's Heartbeat) from Whimsy Stamps. This image was drawn by the incredibly talented Crissy Armstrong and it is my girl and her Daddy. I absolutely adore it and it is so special to me to have this! Thank you so much Crissy & to Denise from Whimsy as well!! It is an honour to have this and the other images Crissy has drawn.

Maya Making Wishes - Birthday Wishes

Today is a fabulous day for a couple of reasons!! First, there is a new digital release over at Whimsy Stamps. There are lots of fabulous stamps being released but I am partial to the new digis by Crissy Armstrong. Check them out below and I am sure you can figure out why I love them so much!! :) This is a special release to me - not only does it feature my baby girl but has her with her Daddy too!! Can't wait to use one of these fab images to make his Father's Day card!!

The second reason this day is special is because it happens to be Crissy's birthday so of course I figured it would be fun to use one of her fab images and make her a card. Her talent is amazing and I am so blessed that she uses it to capture my girl!!

The card below is on its' way to you as we speak Crissy! I hope you like it! A very happy birthday to you, my friend!!

This is one of the new images - Maya Making Wishes!! Isn't she adorable!! Below is a close-up of her. I know I am not a master colourer but I do my best.

This card also fits a couple of challenges.....

1. Sundays with Crissy - use layers

2. Whimsy Inspirations - summer

Wings of Hope

The ever amazing Crissy Armstrong together with Denise from Whimsy Stamps has released this gorgeous Wings of Hope stamp in an effort to raise funds for the devastation in Haiti.
From now until the end of February 2010, this limited edition digital image will be available to purchase, exclusively in Whimsy’s online shop. Whimsy has agreed to donate all proceeds from the sale of this stamp, minus the Paypal fees to the American Red Cross disaster relief fund for Haiti. Please click on this link if you wish to purchase it.

Head on over to the Whimsy Stamps site now to purchase this image and do a little good while you are at it. I think it is incredible of these two women to put themselves out there and do something to help. Such generous hearts they have.

Despite my spending freeze this was an opportunity I could not pass up. I ordered my stamp this morning and it arrived in my inbox a very few minutes later. I set to work already to make a card. Not my best colouring but I think it turned out well.

I am also entering this card for this week's Kraftin Kimmie Stamps Challenge to use no embellishments (KKSC14).
