Have a very happy birthday!

Today is my baby sister's birthday and I can't let the day end without dedicating a post to her.  She is a pretty amazing sister and a pretty incredible woman!  She's had a very eventful year - some good (getting married) and some bad (losing our Mom and her own battle with cancer) but through it all she has been so strong and I couldn't be more proud of her!!

Happy birthday Scoots!!  Love you too much!!

I have to be honest - at first glance of this sketch, my first thought was "NO WAY".  The circles were freaking me out a little - such a pain to cut at times.  Anyway, I decided to dive in anyway and 'interpret' it a little differently and I actually quite like how it turned out.

Just goes to show - even the most daunting of sketches can be workable if you just make them your own!!

School's Out for Summer!!!!

Yep, we made it!!  Summer vacation is here!!  It's been a good year but I am ready for a break.  Mostly I am ready to sleep past 5:30am and to have a break from making school lunches!!  :p

I am proud to report that my girl had a fantastic report card and a very successful year in grade two.  She is moving on to grade three next year!!
