Over on the Two Scrapbook Friends forum, there was another menu challenge going on. These are fun challenges and can challenge you to go out of your comfort zone a little. I like that.
Here is the list I got.....
Use a 6x6 piece of patterned paper on your design (the polka-dotted piece)
Use Pennant (on the patterned paper above the ribbon)
Use a word in a different language (the title)
Use a book or a pencil or a light bulb (Cut out a composition book from the paper and used it)
Use the colour brown (background)
Use a piece of memorabilia (a piece of Maya's schoolwork)

Thank goodness, my girl is in her first year of French Immersion. It made this easy. This layout sprang to mind immediately after reading my list. I like to scrap random pieces of Maya's schoolwork - I think it makes a nice keepsake for her as she gets older.
Supplies:
Bazzill cardstock
Awesome by Simple Stories
QuicKutz font (License Plate)
random crochet ribbon
