Happy Father's Day!

Today is Father's Day and so we honour the dads in our lives. I think sometimes dads get the short end of the stick. Moms get all the glory! So, I am going to take a little time and honour 2 very special dads in my life.

First, is my daddy. Love my Dad! He is awesome. Seriously, I couldn't ask for a better man in my life. Not only is he the smartest man I know but he gives just about the greatest advice ever. His best piece of advice - 'get some fresh air'. When we were kids that was dad's answer for everything. It's a running joke in our family but really if you think about it - what mood can't be cured by going out and spending some time with nature?!?! Now, that I am a Mom too one of my favourite things is to watch my Dad with Maya. There is just something about it that puts a smile in my heart. Anyway, enough gushing. To my Daddy - I love you! Today on this day for you and every other day too!!

And with all this talk about Dads, how can I forget my baby girl's daddy! Pat is such a fabulous dad to Maya. I just love to watch the two of them play together. This past year and a half has sucked in terms of him being out of a job but the time he has spent with Maya is priceless. It is something that I think she has so benefitted from.
