Here is a card I did for another sketch challenge. I am loving sketches for my cardmaking! I find I go through spurts where I am always using sketches. I did it with my scrapping too. When I was starting out and not too sure of myself I would use a sketch for most every one of my layouts but now I rarely do. Maybe it will be the same with my cardmaking. We'll see!!
This card uses a sketch by Amy Rysavy. Friday Sketch! #51
The card was made using some scraps of pp from my stash. The turtle image and sentiment are both from Stamping Bella. The image was coloured with my Copics.
Speaking of Copics, I have had a revelation!! I've been colouring with them for a while and frankly thought I just wasn't that good with them since I kept getting the colour 'bleeding' outside of the lines. I totally thought it was me. I mean some of those images are pretty small!! It's hard to stay in the lines. Anyway, it turns out that it wasn't me! It was the paper I was using. I had been stamping on some white cardstock from my stash (no clue where it came from) and well, quite frankly, the paper sucks. I picked up some luxury cardstock from Gina K Designs and I am in heaven!! This paper is a dream to colour on! Love it and can't wait to get me some more!! Right now I am using the base weight for everything since it was what I bought to try but I am looking forward to getting some of both weights!! Oh, and they are coming out with new colours soon (Black Onyx & Chocolate Kiss). So glad it wasn't me that sucked!! :)
