A True Inspiration & some Yard Sale fun

Yesterday on my ride to work I heard a story on the radio that reaffirmed my faith in humanity. I just thought I would share it here. Jose Lima is a butcher in Toronto and had his life changed when he won close to 15 MILLION DOLLARS on the 649 this week. Once you hear the rest of this story, you can't even be mad at the guy for winning. So, when asked what he was going to do with the money he explained that he would first be giving a $5000 bonus (yes, you read that right!!) to each of the approximately 50 employees he works with. And as if that wasn't enough, he next will be purchasing and donating 1000 boxes of chicken to needy families. When asked what he will be doing for himself with the money he couldn't say. He hadn't even thought of himself yet!! Now, that has got to be a heartwarming story to even the greatest cynic out there. That man is a true inspiration!!!

Now, on to the happenings of my own little world. I just got home a little while ago from the Scrapper's Yard Sale at the Scrapping Turtle! It was a very worthwhile trip!! I only gave myself a small budget to spend but I was able to get myself a new QuicKutz font with that. Very cool as that was what I was really hoping for!! I love my QK!! I also took advantage of a great paper sale and stocked up! Now hopefully I can get some more scrapping done! It's been driving me nuts lately that every time I sit down I never seem to have the right colour of cardstock. Not to knock any other scrap store out there but I LOVE the Turtle!!

And now the saving begins for ScrapFest!!! Two weeks away - I need to get cracking!! A little birdie told me that you want to come prepared to take advantage of awesome deals!!
