Two weeks and counting....

I can't believe Christmas is only two weeks away!! I'M NOT READY YET!!!! And as it gets closer there seem to be constant reminders everywhere. If you want to know exactly how much time is left until the big day, click here!!! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Christmas!! I pretty much love everything about the season! Okay maybe not everything, I'm not such a fan of the stressful shopping which occurs every year because I inevitably leave it to the last minute (although each year I promise the next will be different). I am also not a fan of the cold and miserable weather that goes along with the season. Snow is a beautiful thing on Christmas morning but that is all I need!!

Even though I am not ready yet I am looking forward to Christmas! I can't wait to watch Maya open her presents! This year she will be old enough I think to dive in and have a blast! I just need to keep her away from Santa! She's not such a fan of the jolly old guy in red!! Christmas also means spending time with the family!! That is always fun for me!! And new for me this year is lots of time off for the holidays!! Definitely a perk of working for the school board! Pat is taking a week off too so we are going to have lots of family time for my first week off and then the second week I look forward to taking it easy and spending a little time with my family.

There's just something about Christmas time - I love it! I am so happy that this holiday has always been a big deal in my family. There has always been such importance put on spending time with family (it's just an added bonus that the day also comes with presents).
