World Pancreatic Cancer Day

Today is the first ever World Pancreatic Cancer Day!!

Help bring awareness to a disease that should not be ignored any longer.

My Momma was diagnosed with this disease the last week of August.  She lost her battle on October 15th.  We weren't ready.  I think we were all still processing the diagnosis and before we knew it she was gone.  That's how pancreatic cancer works.  You don't know you have it until it is too late to do anything.  And even if you are one of the rare lucky ones who is diagnosed early, there is no cure.  Pancreatic cancer is a death sentence.  Help us change that.  Support the cause by raising awareness and by donated much-needed funds to research.

You feel like it can't happen to you.  Other families have to deal with cancer.  But, it can happen to you and the most disturbing thing about pancreatic cancer is that it is completely random.  There are no predisposing factors.  In fact, there aren't typically even any symptoms until it is too far gone to do anything.

It took my Mom from us.  My Mom who was my very best friend.  I still cannot believe she is gone.  Every day I wake up and it hurts.  I miss her and I want her here with me.  My brain has yet to even comprehend that I will never see her again.  It is just too much.

Please help us to fight back.  In some small way it helps.  My family has always been fighters.  In fact, we have fought back against cancer through the years.  We aren't strangers to the heartbreak it brings.

Join our fight.  Donate today to the
Help us help others.  Seriously, every dollar counts.
